NAIS 355 - Federal Indian Policy This course provides an overview of the formulation, implementation, evolution, and comparison of Indian policy from pre-colonial times to self-governance in the new millennium. Theoretical approaches to federal Indian policy will be introduced and major federal Indian policies will be discussed. Attitudes of policy-makers and reactions of indigenous nations to federal policies also will be discussed.
