PSYC 420 - Counseling Skills This course provides insight into how psychologists approach counseling and psychotherapy. It explores a variety of alternatives to the “talking cure” and how each can be flexibly used to promote human change. Students will enter the counselor’s universe and acquire basic skills in counseling and psychotherapy through readings, live practice, counseling labs and an applied final video project.

Prerequisites: PSYC 200 (minimum grade of C-) AND PSYC 387 AND one CO2 course [Details: CO2 course list: COMP 215 , COMP 250 , COMP 252 , COMP 253 , ENGL 268 , HIST 250 , SOC 210 ].
