RS 315 - Irish, Catholic, American This course will use the Irish experience in America to highlight the general course of U.S. history and the way in which ethnic and religious identity both shaped the American landscape while being in turn shaped by the American environment. The course will explore immigration, politics, religion, education, women, family and urban history, nativism, acculturation, cultural maintenance and identity.
