BIO 141 - People and the Planet This course examines population growth, the availability of food and water and human-influenced environmental change, particularly global warming and ozone depletion, from various cultural perspectives. The current scientific understanding and policy responses to these issues are discussed. The concept of “sustainability” is introduced and examples of its application are presented.
