PSYC 270 - Psychology of Gender An investigation of women’s and men’s experience of gender as well as the ways that gender influences how people are perceived by others. We will explore a variety of explanations for the similarities and differences between females and males. These will include cultural, social, cognitive, developmental and biological approaches. The application of psychological theory to current gender issues will be considered. The course will include a critique of psychological theory and research on gender.
Prerequisites: PSYC 157
Credits: 4 Clock Hours - (Lect-Lab): (4-0) Notes: Freshmen may not enroll without instructor permission.
