AE 325 - Mountaineering Knowledge, skills, and attitudes of basic mountaineering, including snow, ice, and alpine climbing, avalanche awareness, use of technical equipment including crampons, ropes, and ice axes for snow travel, use of fixed lines, group management on technical terrain and mountaineering instructional strategies. Includes winter overnight camping.

Prerequisites: AE 121 (minimum grade of C+) AND (AE 141 [minimum grade of C+] OR AE 342 [minimum grade of C+])
Program Restriction: Must be a declared Adventure Education major or minor.
