ANTH 345 - Mesoamerican Archaeology


This course introduces students to the rich archaeological heritage of Mesoamerica, a region that encompasses modern-day Mexico and Central America. Class lectures cover all periods of human occupation, but focus particularly on complex societies. Students will learn about major shifts in technology and social organization over time, while gaining an appreciation for regional variations in materials, economy, language, and worldview.
