HIST 261 - Western Civilization II This course is an introduction to the cultural, economic, intellectual, political, religious, and social life of Western Civilization from the Renaissance, into the Protestant Reformation, to absolutism in early modern Europe, the French Revolution and the birth of Liberalism, the Industrial Revolution, European imperialism and Social Darwinism, and the two world wars of the 20th century.
