ED 357 - Language Arts for the Young Child

A dynamic course offered to acquaint students with the latest theory and practices of emergent literacy programs. Emphasis is placed on a critical analysis of holistic language teaching strategies as well as traditional approaches; recent research in listening, speaking, reading and writing is considered. Students take an active role in the learning process thorugh modeling various teaching strategies.
