HIST 280 - U.S. History to 1877 The course covers U.S. history from the pre-colonial era through Reconstruction. The course explores the social, political, economic and cultural developments of early America. Topics include European and U.S. colonialism, Native American resistance, the rise and fall of slavery, the evolution of work and politics, culture, and Reconstruction.
