MU 233 - Music Theory IV Built off knowledge from Music Theory III, this course teaches more advanced analytical written contexts for the music you perform and listen to. You survey the theoretical frameworks of and learn to analyze music from the 20th and 21st century using examples from the Western repertory. Non-music majors/minors may take this course with instructor approval only.

Prerequisites: MU 231 (minimum grade of C-)
Program Restriction: Must be a declared major, pre-major, or minor in Music, Music Performance, Music Business, Music Education, Musical Theatre, or Music Minor.
