REQUIREMENTS FOR A MINOR IN PRE-LAW:

No more than one course from the major department will count toward any minor.

Specific Course Requirements:

BA 260 - Business Law and Ethics Credits: 4
COMP 252 - Professional and Technical Writing Credits: 4
PHIL 271 - Logic Credits: 4

Elective Courses:

A minimum of 11 credits of elective courses are required. At least 7 of those 11 credits must be upper division. No more than 4 credits of elective course credit shall come from any internship.

BA 315 - International Business Law Credits: 4
PHIL 251 - Moral Philosophy Credits: 4
PS 241 - Introduction to Criminal Justice Systems Credits: 4
PS 340 - Constitution Law: Bill Of Rights Credits: 4
PS 341 - Constitution Law: Federalism and Separation of Power Credits: 4
PS 423 - Philosophy of Law Credits: 4
PS 492 - Political Science Internship Credits: 3-16 - only 3-4 credits required
SOC 400 - Native American Law and Politics Credits: 4
Any other course approved by PRE-LAW advisors.

TOTAL REQUIRED FOR MINOR - CREDITS: 22

Note: Elective courses chosen to satisfy the Pre-law Minor shall not be used to satisfy Political Science, Business Administration, Sociology, or Sociology-Criminology majors. Courses required or chosen to satisfy Political Science, Business Administration, Sociology, and Sociology-Criminology majors shall not be used to satisfy Pre-Law Minor electives.
