REQUIREMENTS FOR A MINOR IN COACHING:

A student majoring in any discipline may complete a minor in Coaching upon satisfactorily completing the following requirements:

Required Courses:

AT 224 - Basic Prin Athletic Training Credits: 3
ES 185 - Intro to Coaching - ASEP Credits: 2
Two Courses From:
ES 225 - Techniques Coaching Football Credits: 2
ES 227 - Techniques Coaching Basketball Credits: 2
ES 229 - Tech Coaching Track & Field Credits: 2
ES 231 - Tech of Coaching Soccer Credits: 2
Two Courses From:
ES 233 - Officiating of Football Credits: 1
ES 235 - Officiating of Basketball Credits: 1
ES 238 - Officiating Soccer Credits: 1
ES 389 - Coaching Internship Credits: 2

And one of the following Elective Courses:

¹ ES 335 - Kinesiology & Biomechanics Credits: 4
ES 337 - Sport Ethics Credits: 3
¹ ES 340 - Motor Learning and Control Credits: 3
¹ ES 345 - Legal Aspects of Sports/Phy Ed Credits: 3
¹ ES 353 - Nutrition Fitness & Sport Credits: 3
¹ ES 360 - Exercise Physiology Credits: 4
¹ ES 375 - Sport & Exercise Psychology Credits: 3
