At least three (3) courses must be taken from three (3) different disciplines.
At least four (4) courses must be upper division (300 or above).
No course may be used for both the Foundations and the Explorations Categories.
No more than six (6) credits may be taken as internship or practicum.

Practicum or Internship Opportunities:

Students may sign up for an internship or practicum experience in any field, as long as the project undertaken is related to gender, sexuality, and/or women’s studies. A maximum of six (6) credits of practicum/internship may count in the Disciplinary Explorations section of the major. Students MUST receive approval from the Gender and Women’s Studies Coordinator before signing up for internship or practicum credit.

ANTH 316 - Internship in Anthropology Credits: 1-6 - minimum three (3) credits required
ES 450 - Internship Exercise Specialist Credits: 3
SOC 320 - Community Internship Credits: 1-16 - minimum three (3) credits required

Note: Among the total credits required for graduation, at least 36 credits must be upper division (300- and 400-level) courses.

Note: Students completing the Liberal Arts Core in fewer than 33 credits will have additional free electives.

Note: Students who have met a prerequisite or required course through transfer, examinations, or assessment of prior learning will have additional free electives.
