REQUIREMENTS FOR A MINOR IN COACHING:

A student majoring in any discipline may complete a minor in Coaching upon satisfactorily fulfilling the core and elective requirements. At least twelve (12) credits must be discrete from any other major or minor.

Core Courses:

ES 101 - Basic Prevention and Treatment of Athletic Injuries Credits: 3
ES 136 - Sport Officiating Credits: 2
ES 185 - Introduction to Coaching - ASEP Credits: 2

ES 201 - Techniques of Strength and Conditioning Development Credits: 2

ES 226 - Techniques of Coaching Volleyball Credits: 2
ES 227 - Techniques of Coaching Basketball Credits: 2

*Students may be able to complete this minor in 18 credits if they complete a course within the Exercise Science Elective Course requirement that does not require additional prerequisites (e.g. ES 337 , ES 345 , ES 480 ).
