Welcome to Fort Lewis College Catalog of Courses

Catalog of Courses

The Catalog of Courses outlines, in detail, the requirements for the degree and certificate programs offered at Fort Lewis College.

Candidates for a bachelor’s or master’s degree or an undergraduate or graduate certificate assume the responsibility of reading the catalog; adhering to all policies pertaining to degree and certificate completion; earning the minimum number of credits as outlined for a degree or certificate program; and achieving the specified minimum course grades and grade point averages required for the major and minor courses of study in a degree program or required for a certificate program.

The provisions of this catalog do not constitute a contract, expressed or implied, between any applicant, student, or faculty member and Fort Lewis College. This catalog is a general information publication, and it does not contain all regulations that relate to students.

To choose a different catalog, go to the drop down menu above.

To choose an archived catalog, go to the sections listed on the left hand navigation menu as follows: Archived Catalogs | 2010-2014 and Archived Catalogs | 1914-2009.

New - Curriculum and Policy Transition Guide

In February 2014,  Fort Lewis College’s Board of Trustees approved a proposal to return the college to a three-credit model.  This means that most non-lab classes that are currently four credits will become three credits.

The Registrar’s Office has created a Curriculum and Policy Transition Guide to show exactly how students on catalogs from the 2015-2016 academic year and earlier will be completing their programs.  Once your program has been published in the Guide, you will be contacted by an advisor via your Fort Lewis email account to set up a meeting.

The Guide also gives notice of several new academic policies that go into effect in Fall 2016.   Students’ whose time to graduation will be delayed by the curriculum transition or a new policy may file an “Adverse Impact of Curriculum and Policy Transition” petition.  This form will be published on the Registrar’s Office website.

To choose the Curriculum and Policy Transition Guide, go to the drop down menu above or select Curriculum and Policy Transition Guide listed on the left hand navigation menu.
