HIST 331 - Poverty in the United States Examines poverty in the United States from the colonial period to the present, focusing on the evolution of social policy, poverty knowledge, and worker and community organizing against poverty. The course will also focus on poverty debates as they relate to structures of racial, economic, and gender inequality and the meaning of democracy and citizenship.
