MATH 121 - Pre-Calculus This course covers the topics in algebra and trigonometry necessary for students who plan to enroll in MATH 221 . Technological methods, in addition to symbolic methods, are essential in solving problems. The course will include an in-depth analysis of the topics covered in MATH 110 or MATH 113 , with additional emphasis on symbolic methods. The concept of function, with its multiple representations, will be emphasized.

Prerequisites: MATH 110 (minimum grade of B-) OR MATH 113 (minimum grade of C-) OR Computed Math Placement Score MA121
Notes: The prerequisite for Math 121 is a B- or better in MATH 110 or a C- or better in MATH 113 or placement. The recommended prerequisite course for Math 121 is MATH 113 . All specified prerequisites for all other math courses must be completed with a grade of C- or better.
