NAIS 323 - Indigenous History of the Southwest


This course is centered upon the experiences of indigenous peoples during centuries of relations with Native North America’s first imperial power, Spain. The course examines the Pueblo War of Independence, the histories of Ute, Diné and many other indigenous peoples’ experience with Spanish, Mexican, and American imperialism.
