PSYC 441 - Human Memory and Cognition Principles of cognitive psychology explain how humans remember, learn, and think. Topics include attention, working memory as consciousness, autobiographical memory, remembering in infancy and childhood, semantic frameworks for learning, memory disorders and amnesias, problem-solving, creativity, and cognitive ways to improve learning, as well as the effects of emotion and trauma on memory for events. Class activities and demonstrations illustrate many concepts.
