ANTH 395 - History of Anthropological Thought This course provides a genealogical and critical look at the major philosophical, historical and scientific elements that have contributed to anthropological thought and practice – both archaeological and ethnological – since the early 19th century. Although this course is specifically required for the anthropology major, it is recommended for any student interested in the development of social scientific thought and the ways it plays out in students’ own intellectual autobiographies.
