CHEM 305 - Natural Products From Plants A comprehensive study of the biologically active constituents of plants of the Southwest and elsewhere. Medicinal compounds, poisons, and allelochemicals are emphasized. Chemical structures, physiological activity, plant sources and biosynthetic pathways are discussed. Lab work includes field gathering, isolation and identification of compounds.
