ENVS 339 - Political Ecology of Food Examines controversies in food systems and connects them to the environment. Includes a social science examination of the environment, policy, culture, and economics in food systems. Includes topics such as genetically modified crops; the lives and working conditions of food and farm workers; food safety; and U.S. food and farm policy. Students are introduced to social movements in food systems.
