BL 100 - Introduction to Borders and Languages

This course introduces students to the concept of borders. We explore the social construction of borders and how these borders influence our personal and social experiences at all levels. We also explore the Spanish language in relation to borders.

Notes:
Students will increase their Spanish skills but this is not an introduction to Spanish class. Heritage speakers as well as those who are fluent in Spanish will utilize their skills and knowledge with beginning level Spanish speakers. This course welcomes students at different levels of language proficiency while introducing all students to the concept of borders.
