BIO 467 - River Eco-Geomorphology This course focuses on dynamics of free-flowing river systems and impacts flow regulation has on river hydrology, geomorphology, and ecosystems. We review basic hydrology, dynamics of sediment movement, channel formation, and adaptations of aquatic and riparian plants and animals to river habitats. Students also evaluate challenges and promise of managing and restoring river systems in a time of water crisis.
