NAIS 322 - Indigenous Philosophy and Thought

This course provides an historical and contemporary basis of indigenous philosophies and worldviews; how they are expressed in various societal contexts and how they have both changed and remained consistent from time immemorial to the present day. Ethical practices and questions related to both Native American spiritual practices and efforts to suppress those practices are also the focus of the course.
