NAIS 493 - Internship in Native American and Indigenous Studies


NAIS students, in consultation with NAIS faculty, should work together to explore internship opportunities before enrolling into the internship course. Internship placements can be with tribal governments and programs or with institutions and organizations that provide experiences related to the concerns and issues of Native Peoples.

Credits: 1-6

Hours: 50 hours are the equivalent of one credit hour.

Prerequisites: Instructor Permission

Program Restriction: Must be a declared major or minor in Native American and Indigenous Studies or completing the Native American Language Revitalization certificate.

Repeatable: Course is repeatable for up to 6 credits.
