PSYC 474 - Multicultural Counseling Psychology

This discussion-based course explores the latest trends in multicultural counseling. Multicultural competencies (awareness, knowledge, skills) are emphasized. Cultural humility, social justice implications, privilege, systemic oppression, microaggressions, communication styles, multicultural evidence-based practice, strengths-based assessment, and Indigenous methods of healing are explored.
