NAIS 388 - Indigenous Sovereignty, Public Lands, and Outdoor Adventure Outdoor sports are collective endeavors that take place in a social, historical, and political context. This course seeks to better understand where, how, and why we recreate in outdoor spaces by exploring the political, economic, and environmental interests intersecting in public lands, and querying issues of access and stewardship through a deeper consideration of colonization and Indigenous sovereignty.
