MU 133 - Music Theory II


Built off knowledge from Music Theory I, this course increases your written analytical understanding of music you perform and listen to. You survey basic four-voice counterpoint and practice basic formal analysis of diatonic harmony using examples from the Western European repertory. Non-music majors/minors may take this course with instructor approval only.

Credits: 3

Clock Hours - (Lect-Lab): (3-0)

Prerequisites: MU 131  (minimum grade of C-)

Program Restriction: Must be a declared major, pre-major, or minor in Music, Music Performance, Music Business, Music Education, Musical Theatre, or Music Minor.
