The Forensic Studies Minor  is an interdisciplinary minor that allows students to explore some of the social and natural sciences with applications to the law.  This minor, along with a relevant major field of study (e.g. Anthropology , Biology , Chemistry , Psychology , Sociology ) will provide an important foundation for students interested in pursuing a career in the forensic sciences.  Forensic scientists may work for law enforcement, the government, universities and colleges, forensic laboratories, medical examiner/coroners offices or as independent consultants. In addition to providing expertise in criminal cases, forensic scientists may be called upon to assist with mass disasters and war crimes.

Students who minor in Forensic Studies will be required to take a minimum of 24 credits, including two core courses in forensic anthropology and psychology, as well as 18 elective credits distributed across the sciences and social sciences.
