REQUIREMENTS FOR A MINOR IN FORENSIC STUDIES:

No more than one course from the major department will count toward any minor. All students wishing to complete a minor in Forensic Studies must complete the following four core courses plus two elective courses outside their major area of study.

Core Courses:

ANTH 241 - Introduction to Forensic Anthropology Credits: 3
BIO 113 - Introduction to Cellular and Molecular Biology Credits: 4 ^a
PSYC 302 - Forensic Psychology Credits: 4
SOC 362 - Criminology and Criminal Justice Credits: 4

Elective Courses:

Select one course from two of the following areas. If you are majoring in that area, you cannot take a course in that area to fulfill the minor.

Anthropology Area:

Cannot be taken as electives for the minor by ANTHROPOLOGY majors.

ANTH 359 - Forensic Osteology and Bioarchaeology Credits: 4

Biology Area:

Cannot be taken as electives for the minor by BIOLOGY majors.

BIO 105 - Issues in Genetic Engineering Credits: 4
BIO 233 - Human Anatomy Credits: 4

Social Sciences Area:

Cannot be taken as electives for the minor by ECONOMICS, POLITICAL SCIENCE or SOCIOLOGY majors.
