Biology Minor

REQUIREMENTS FOR A MINOR IN BIOLOGY:

A student majoring in any discipline other than Biology may complete a minor in Biology upon satisfactorily fulfilling the core and elective requirements. At least twelve (12) credits must be discrete from any other major or minor.

BIO 106 - Evolution and the Diversity of Life Credits: 4
BIO 113 - Introduction to Cellular and Molecular Biology Credits: 4
BIO 260 - Genetics Credits: 3 ^q

Minor Electives:

Complete the Cellular and Molecular or the Ecology/Organismal Biology Electives.

TOTAL REQUIRED FOR MINOR - CREDITS: 24

Prior to course registration, students should review all courses for prerequisites, minimum prerequisite grade requirements and minimum class standing.

^e For students minoring, the Biology Department has made BIO 260 (minimum grade of C-) and the completion of the additional 200-level course (BIO 245 [minimum grade of C-] or BIO 208 [minimum grade of C-]) the only prerequisites for the upper-division courses listed above. Student must ask instructor of record for an electronic override.
