Liberal Arts Core Certificate in Diversity and Inclusion


The goal of this certificate program is to increase student awareness and critical thought about the ways in which the intersections of gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity, and class shape (and are shaped by) personal identity, social relationships, privilege and power. This certificate program offers students skills and perspectives to help them live and work well in a diverse world.

REQUIREMENTS FOR A LIBERAL ARTS CORE CERTIFICATE IN DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION


A student majoring in any discipline may complete a Liberal Ats Core Certificate in Diversity and Inclusion upon satisfactory fulfilling the core and elective requirements. 

Note: A grade of C or better is required in all courses required for the certificate.

Choice options: Take at least one of the following courses (not overlapping with the requirements above):

Prior to course registration, students should review all courses for prerequisites, minimum prerequisite grade requirements and minimum class standing.

Note: At least 50% of the coursework toward the certificate must be earned at Fort Lewis College.
