Pre-Athletic Training Certificate
The Pre-Athletic Training (AT) Certificate is intended for students who wish to pursue a Professional Master’s degree within a Commission on the Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) approved program following graduation. The Pre-AT Certificate will prepare students by incorporating pre-requisite coursework necessary for advanced study in athletic training (individual programs may have differing requirements) while providing meaningful observation experiences with local practitioners. The Pre-AT Certificate is an opportunity for students to distinguish their graduate school applications while gaining athletic training-specific education and experience.
**The Pre-AT Certificate is not a replacement for a Board of Certification (BOC) Athletic Training credential, nor will it allow its holders to use the term “Athletic Trainer”.
