HIST 320 - Western/Southwestern American History

This course will focus on the 19th century American west. Using the theme of expansionism, the course examines the interaction between cultures and people in the West, the forces that produced a unique section fo the country, the creation of the mystic West and its enduring legacy, and how the present is linked to the past in the trans-Mississippi West.
