MT 301 - Musical Theatre III: Musical Theatre Styles & Repertoire The objective of this course is to train the advanced performer in the specificities of the musical and vocal styles of the musical theatre canon and expand the student’s repertoire. Students will study song style types such as classical (“legit”), the patter song, contemporary narrative, jazz & standards, and contemporary commercial music (pop, rock, country, rap, etc.).

Prerequisites: MT 101 and MT 201 and concurrent enrollment in MU 109B or MU 209B or MU 309B
