BIO 302 - Plant Systematics and Diversity An introduction to the principles and practice of contemporary biodiversity science with an emphasis on identification, classification, nomenclature, speciation, and phylogenetic methods to understand the diversity of plant life. Work focuses on a survey of the plant kingdom, emphasizes the generation and use of systematic data, learning major flowering plant families, and techniques for the identification of species.
