GEOL 337 - Structural Geology


This course explores the geometric, kinematic and dynamic analysis of structural features such as faults, folds, and metamorphic structures.  Labs include practice collecting and interpreting field data, writing about structural data, interpreting geologic maps, and creating cross-sections.

Credits: 4

Clock Hours - (Lect-Lab): (3-3)

Prerequisites: GEOL 202  (minimum grade of D-) AND (MATH 121  (minimum grade of D-) OR MATH 221  (minimum grade of D-) OR MATH 222  (minimum grade of D-) OR PHYS 201  (minimum grade of D-))

Minimum Class Standing: Sophomore
