GSS 366 - Gender and Representation This course invites students to think critically about the roles images play in constructing or deconstructing our concepts of gender. Drawing from contemporary cultural and gender theory, it surveys a diverse range of visuals from mass media to high art. Students build a historically and culturally nuanced understanding of gender as a central issue in visual representation.
