HS 208 - Microbiology for the Health Sciences


This course focuses on microbiology relevant to clinical, public health, and environmental careers. Topics include theory, cellular mechanisms, practical application, and pathogenesis applicable to microbes causing healthcare acquired and antibiotic resistant infections, and emerging infectious diseases. Microbiology for the Health Sciences focuses on this unseen world and emphasizes the benefits and drawbacks of microbes to humans and our natural world.

Prerequisites: CHEM 150  (minimum grade of C-)

Notes:
Student who take BIO 208  will not receive credit toward graduation for HS 208.
