ACC 437 - Internship in Accounting Directed experience working in a business organization performing professional duties and responsibilities related to the accounting profession. Specific requirements will include the keeping of a detailed journal and completion of a term paper. The student’s performance will be evaluated by his/her supervisor in the business organization and the assigned college faculty member.
Credits: 3
Hours: 50 hours are the equivalent of one credit hour.
Minimum Class Standing: Junior
Repeatable: This course is repeatable for a maximum of 6 credits.
Cross Listed: This class is the same as BA 437 except that it is more specifically accounting related. Students can only take 6 credits (total) of internship credit regardless of prefix.
Notes: Students must have earned 80 credit hours, be in good academic standing, and are required to complete a minimum of 150 contact hours for each internship experience.
A major GPA of not less than 3.0 and a FLC cumulative GPA of not less than 2.5. If GPA requirements are not met, special permission must be granted by the Dean’s office.
A student can earn only 6 credits of SOBA internship credit regardless of prefix.
