NAIS 331 - Indigenous American Psychology


This course explores the historical context and modern topics in Indigenous/Native American Psychology. Emphasis is on using the Indigenous worldview to attempt to decolonize psychology, increase survivance, and enhance happiness. It is discussion-based, and students share their knowledge and experiences to personalize and understand the material better. Students also teach their classmates a selected topic.

Credits: 3

Clock Hours - (Lect-Lab): (3-0)

Minimum Class Standing: Sophomore

Cross Listed: NAIS 331 and PSYC 331  are the same. Credit will only be given for one.
