GEOL 207 - Mineralogy A survey of mineral sciences that covers crystallography–a study of external form and internal structure of crystalline solids by means of their shape and symmetry; atomic structure and mineral chemistry–a study of crystal chemistry, chemical bonding, and chemical composition of mineral species; and systematic mineralogy–a study of the major rock-forming minerals and the environments that they form.

Prerequisites: (GEOL 105 (minimum grade of D-) OR GEOL 107 (minimum grade of D-) OR GEOL 113 (minimum grade of D-)) AND (CHEM 150 (minimum grade of D-) OR concurrent enrollment in CHEM 150 )
Notes: CHEM 150 may be taken concurrently with GEOL 207.
