Sport Administration option studies the business and administrative aspects of sport and recreation. The students in this option will study in both the Exercise Science department and the School of Business Administration.
SPORT ADMINISTRATION COMPETITIVE ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
Sophomore standing, but no more than 80 total credits unless approved by department chair/program director.
Written letter of application in approved business format stating objectives
Interview with faculty committee
Cumulative GPA of 2.50

SPORT ADMINISTRATION INTERNSHIP REQUIREMENTS:
Establish internship file with Career Services
Acceptance into Sport Administration program
Major GPA of at least 2.50
Successful completion of ES 339
Completion of all major course work
REQUIREMENTS FOR A BACHELOR OF ARTS DEGREE WITH A MAJOR IN EXERCISE SCIENCE - SPORT ADMINISTRATION OPTION¹:
Upper Division SOBA elective approved by ES Department Chair - Credits: 3-4
Subtotal SOBA Requirements - Credits: 22-23
Note: A minimum of C- must be earned in 300- and 400-level School of Business Administration requirements.
Only students who are majoring in School of Business programs may take more than 30 hours in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, and Marketing due to School of Business Administration accreditation standards.
* Among the minimum 120 credits required for the degree, 45 credits must be upper-division (300- and 400-level) courses.
1 Sport Administration Option students must meet and complete requirements for admission to the program BEFORE they have completed 80 total credits toward graduation or they must get approval from the Department Chair/Program Coordinator.
Note to transfer and former students: If you have taken any of your major requirements and received a different number of credits than listed above, you may need to complete additional major credit requirements.
NOTE: Sport Administration majors may not declare a minor in Business Administration.
