REQUIREMENTS FOR A MINOR IN PHYSICS:

No more than one course from the major department will count toward any minor. A student majoring in any discipline other than Physics may complete a minor in Physics upon satisfactorily completing the following
requirements:

PHYS 217 - Physics - Science & Engineering I Credits: 4
PHYS 218 - Physics - Science & Engineering II Credits: 4
(with departmental approval Phys 201, 202)
PHYS 262 - Physics-Science & Engineering III Credits: 3
PHYS 320 - Modern Physics Credits: 3
PHYS 380 - Advanced Physics Laboratory I Credits: 1
OR
PHYS 381 - Advanced Physics Laboratory II Credits: 1

A minimum of 6 additional credits chosen from the following:

ENGR 337 - Analog Electronics Credits: 4
PHYS 333 - Computational Methods Credits: 3
PHYS 340 - Optics Credits: 4
PHYS 354 - Theoretical Mechanics Credits: 3
PHYS 361 - Prin Electricity & Magnetism Credits: 4
PHYS 370 - Heat and Thermodynamics Credits: 3
PHYS 420 - Quantum Mechanics I Credits: 3
PHYS 454 - Advanced Topics in Physics Credits: 1-4
