REQUIREMENTS FOR A MINOR IN MATHEMATICS:

A student majoring in any discipline other than Mathematics may complete a minor in Mathematics upon satisfactory fulfilling the core and elective requirements. At least twelve (12) credits* must be discrete from any other major or minor.

Minor Core:

MATH 121 - Pre-Calculus [LAC-MA1] Credits: 4
MATH 221 - Calculus I [LAC-MA1] Credits: 4
MATH 222 - Calculus II [LAC-MA1] Credits: 4
MATH 265 - Discrete Mathematics Credits: 3

Minor Choice:

MATH 342 - Modern College Geometry Credits: 3
MATH 302 - Point-Set Topology Credits: 3
MATH 313 - Combinatorics Credits: 3
MATH 316 - Number Theory Credits: 3

Additional Math Courses:

Complete two (2) additional MATH courses at or above the 300-level (except MATH 318), or complete MATH 223 plus one (1) additional MATH courseat or above the 300-level (except MATH 318).

TOTAL REQUIREMENTS FOR MINOR - CREDITS: 24-25

Prior to course registration, students should review all courses for prerequisites, minimum prerequisite grade requirements and minimum class standing.

^*Minor policy requiring 12 discrete credits does not apply to Engineering Majors and Computer Engineering Majors.
