SPORT ADMINISTRATION COMPETITIVE ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
- Sophomore standing, but no more than 80 total credits
- Written letter of application in approved business format stating objectives
- Interview with faculty committee
- Cumulative GPA of 2.50
- Two letters of recommendation
- One character reference from an adult mentor
- One Fort Lewis College faculty reference detailing professional potential
- Current professional resume
SPORT ADMINISTRATION INTERNSHIP REQUIREMENTS:
- Establish internship file with Career Services
- Acceptance into Sport Administration program
- Senior standing
- Major GPA of at least 2.50
- Successful completion of ES 339
- Completion of all major course work

REQUIREMENTS FOR A BACHELOR OF ARTS DEGREE WITH A MAJOR IN EXERCISE SCIENCE - SPORT ADMINISTRATION OPTION¹:
Specific Departmental Requirements:
Subtotal Specific Departmental Requirements - Credits: 35-39
School of Business Administration Requirements:
Subtotal SOBA Requirements - Credits: 21-22
Note: A minimum of C- must be earned in 300- and 400-level School of Business Administration requirements.
Students may not take more than 30 hours in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, and Marketing due to School of Business Administration accreditation standards. Auxiliary Department Requirements:
Subtotal Auxiliary Requirements - Credits: 3
Total Major Requirements - Credits: 59-64

TOTAL REQUIRED FOR GRADUATION - CREDITS: 120
1 Sport Administration Option students must meet and complete requirements for admission to the program BEFORE they have completed 80 total credits toward graduation.
Note to transfer and former students: If you have taken any of your major requirements and received a different number of credits than listed above, you may need to complete additional major credit requirements.
NOTE: Sport Administration majors may not declare another major or minor in Business Administration. |
