REQUIREMENTS FOR A MINOR IN FORENSIC STUDIES:

All students wishing to complete a minor in Forensic Studies must complete the following four core courses plus two elective courses outside their major area of study.

Core Courses - Credits: 15

ANTH 241 - Intro to Forensic Anthropology Credits: 3
¹ BIO 113 - Intro to Cell & Molecular Bio Credits: 4
¹ PSYC 302 - Forensic Psychology Credits: 4
SOC 362 - Criminology & Criminal Justice Credits: 4

Elective Courses - Credits: 7-8

Select one course from two of the following areas. If you are majoring in that area, you cannot take a course in that area to fulfill the minor.

Anthropology Area

(cannot be taken as electives for the minor by Anthropology majors)

ANTH 259 - Field Training in Archaeology Credits: 4-7

(cannot be taken as electives for the minor by Biology majors)
