Educational Leadership Certificate

This certificate prepares students for school and educational leadership roles. Students may pursue a Colorado Principal endorsement. This certificate will allow graduate students who want a principal endorsement but not a Master’s Degree to have an FLC credential.

Candidates for the certificate must complete the 18-credit curriculum specified for the program, with a minimum of 12 credits earned at Fort Lewis College; earn a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.00 and earn a minimum C grade in each course; be in good standing with the department’s Graduate Professional Education Review Committee in terms of professionalism and ethical behavior.

ED 681 - Principal Leadership Credits: 3
ED 682 - Instructional Leadership Credits: 3
ED 683 - Instructional Leadership Internship Credits: 3
ED 684 - Effective School Systems Credits: 3
ED 685 - School Law and Policy Credits: 3
ED 686 - Administrative Leadership Internship Credits: 3

Total Required for Graduation: 18 credits
